ARTSY WEDESDAY Matte N Shine

This weeks theme was to incorporate matte & shine into one manicure. I went with Black & ivory colored Dice with shiny dots...I pretty happy with the turnout except the overall look was a bit chunky due to the fact that I was lazy and didn't remove my last manicure of Nars Orgasm :/
But I feel my shorter nail length was perfect for dice. If my nails had been longer I definitely would have went with Dominos ;)

•WarPaint Beauty Mattify

I love the look of runway pearl & ravens strength with the matte coat. They both have gorgeous shimmer that has a nice depth when flat....

Smell The Revlon Rainbow

Hello Dollfaces

Just a quick post because I was too excited to wait!! Because I Loooooooove Rainbows...especially fruity rainbows.
I was super lucky today & found the complete Revlon Fizz collection.
8 fruity scented glass flecked colors:

•Watermelon Fizz
•Grapefruit Fizz
•Orange Fizz
•Pineapple Fizz
•AppleTini Fizz
•Colada Fizz
•Mint Fizz
•Grape Fizz

These smell super sweet :) and are on the sheer side..great for layering. I used 3 coats on the Colorwheel & I'm fine with the opacity its perfect for summer & that beautiful glass fleck gives them a bit of bling. These remind me of melted popsicles & shaved ice.
They will definitely be in heavy rotation as the weather warms up

And to top it all off I only paid a dollar for each one ;)) Eight freakin bucks for a fantastically Fruity Rainbow!!

Winning!!

So happy with this haul! <---- as You can tell.

Whimsical meets Cinderella

A match made in fairy tales...the beautiful Cinderella (baby blue with a tiny iridescent pink flake) from sinful colors...played really well with Revlons Whimsical (sheer light blue with chunky pink & blue glitter)

And they lived happily ever after....

Both colors have been hard to find. I got really lucky with Cinderella @ found her at Walgreens. Whimsical was a gift.

Revlon 24HR ColorStay Makeup

Revlon colorstay has been My HG (holy grail) foundation for as long as I can remember. Their makeup meets all My needs & the color toast is a perfect match. It lasts about 16 hours..

Today while I was at CVS I saw one bottle of Revlon 24Hr colorstay foundation. The bottle was exactly the same except for the lettering was white.
Has anyone tried this?? I cannot find any reviews on this & would like to know any thoughts on this new product.

If its not broke don't fix it...or is it better??

1. line & fully fill in your top & bottom lip with your favorite red lip liner

2. Apply lipstick over liner. Blot on tissue. Repeat

3. Apply gloss. Use to refresh color as needed

Diamond Lust swatches

I was on the hunt for some new polishes at My local CVS ( one of My trusted Beauty Insiders made Me aware that they would be stocking all the makeup today :)

Of course I ended up with everything but nail polish lol! ( isn't that how it always goes)

Anyway I came across the expressionist display by Revlon for fall 2011 by Artistic director & makeup artist to the stars: Gucci Westman!

I already own facets if fuchsia polish & I love it. The Shadows were beautiful & sparkly!
I picked up a purple shade called " Plum Galaxy" it's metallic dark purple with pink shimmer & large royal purple glitters @ first I thought it was a sparkly overspray, but it was actually glitter & shimmer throughout. Good job Revlon!
The product is a little crumbly and the color payoff wasn't what I hoped... But it's nothing a little Urban Decay Potion Primer can't fix & also packing on the product with a brush instead of sweeping.

Overall I say these are a Win if applied properly & for 4.99 they won't break the bank!

Dupe Alert! Revlon Vs. Lippmann

Calling all Lippmann addicts : Revlon has made a Fabulous dupe for Bad Romance & Dare I say.. It's even a tad Better (Gasp!) yes I said better ladies. It's called Facets of Fuchsia & it's Gawwjuss ;) Its apart of the Fall/Winter 2011 collection

Revlon has managed to pack tons of purpley-pink fuchsia hexagonal glitters into a black jelly base. Depth,sparkle,pretty,vampy,chic & budget friendly all @ the same time.

Perfect coverage with 3 coats, looks best with 2 coats over a black base & seche vite top coat.

Have fun removing this one..
