Frankly Lisa swatched

Sooo a couple of weeks ago I mixed a a pretty wild looking franken & I asked for name ideas....Thank You for all the ideas, they were great.
I loved Lisa Frank the most and decided as a nod to Miss Frank I'd call this polish Frankly Lisa.

The base for FL is a sheer purple with irridecent hex glitter that shifts colors...thus making it a pain in the A** to capture :) I did the best I could

I used a color wheel. I swatched her at 1 & 2 coats alone then over 3 complimenting shades:

•LA Girl freak
•LA Girl groovy
•Sally Hansen sturdy sapphire

Overall I like this franken because it is My first.....but I really want more of the bottle color...so I will keep working on it & get back to You

Artsy Wednesday STRiPES

Welcome to another week of Artsy Wednesday! This weeks theme is: Stripes.... I've decided to incorporate chevron stripes into my design for this week

Polish used:

•Julep Meryl -gray creme
•OPI Grape set match- Purple shimmer
•Sally Hansen Fairy Dust Pink-light pink linear holo
•Seche Vite-clear top coat

I painted my thumb, index & pinky with 2 coats of Grape set match. My two accent nails were given two coats of Meryl. I let the polish fully dry brgore moving on. I then taped off the chevron pattern & painted on one coat of Fairy Dust pink. I removed the tape and added purple rhinestones for extra sparkle. I topped it all off with Seche Vite.

I hope You enjoyed this weeks Stripe inspired manicure, be sure and check out the rest of the Artsy Wednesday crew to see More Striped Artwork:

Artsy Aussie Wednesday Blue Nails

Hello my pretty Geniuses ;) hope Your having a fabulous Day!
This is My 3rd week involved in Artsy Wednesday (I post on Tuesdays due to the different time zones of everyone involved)
This weeks theme is "Blue Nails"
I had many different ideas for this challenge. In the end I chose to do a dark blue creme by Sally Hansen called Thinking of Blue. With a fun converse accent nail in China Glaze Secret Periwinkle. I really liked how this came out. The colors are Beautiful & the design is really fun.

Artsy Aussie Wednesday

This weeks Artsy Wednesday theme was Animal print.
For my first attempt at an animal print I decided to go Natural. I chose a leopard print.

I used 3 colors for this effect :

Sally Hansen's Smooth Perfect color care in Dune was the base color

Essie's Case Study & Sally hansens Nail Growth Miracle in Forbidden Fudge were used to make the print.

I used the end of a paint brush to make various size spots on my nail in Case Study. I then used a toothpick and forbidden fudge to do the darker outline. Very easy & quick even though it looks like a complex pattern.

I am pretty happy with the turn out. I'd like to try it again using bright colors.

Kickin it Oldskool :) NOTD

Testing 1-2...1-2

So I figured We could start off with an Oldie but goodie. Sally Hansen's Magical nail makeup polishes. They came out in 2002 but are now discontinued.. Whyyy? But can be fairly easy to find on eBay or amazon.
I absolutely LOVE holographic polish & I am very happy to have this in my collection. The formula is quite thin and dries super quick.
I own this in Fairy Dust Pink. It's a light pink that pulls violet. Full opacity & even coverage with 2 coats. You can avoid streaks by shaking the bottle. I love that I dont need a base with this. It's a beautiful polish and SH if ur reading this : We want Awesome Holos!! Please release a new collection

Sincerely,

The POLiSHED*GENiUS

Do you own any holographics? Which ones do think are best?
