Hello Kitty NOTD
Hey Chicas
Hope You are all enjoying the weekend!!
For Todays NOTD ( nail of the day ) I've posted a Hello Kitty Manicure. I kept it simple & put her only on My ring finger then painted the rest of the nails with the same palette.
For HK start off painting your nail with a black creme, I used Ebony hates Chris from Wet N Wild. Wait for paint to dry in between each step.
Then tape off the top of your nail with scotch tape & paint the exposed part of your nail with a creamy white polish, I used NYX girls white.
Using a toothpick and kiss nail art paint I made the eyes & wiskers. Using a toothpick and NYX girls woman to make her bow & color club yellow for her nose.
Top with seche vite!! It came out great!!
Are u interested in seeing video or picture tutorials on nail art?

Diamond Lust swatches
I was on the hunt for some new polishes at My local CVS ( one of My trusted Beauty Insiders made Me aware that they would be stocking all the makeup today :)
Of course I ended up with everything but nail polish lol! ( isn't that how it always goes)
Anyway I came across the expressionist display by Revlon for fall 2011 by Artistic director & makeup artist to the stars: Gucci Westman!
I already own facets if fuchsia polish & I love it. The Shadows were beautiful & sparkly!
I picked up a purple shade called " Plum Galaxy" it's metallic dark purple with pink shimmer & large royal purple glitters @ first I thought it was a sparkly overspray, but it was actually glitter & shimmer throughout. Good job Revlon!
The product is a little crumbly and the color payoff wasn't what I hoped... But it's nothing a little Urban Decay Potion Primer can't fix & also packing on the product with a brush instead of sweeping.
In My swatch pic, from top to bottom: applied wet, applied over primer, applied dry
Overall I say these are a Win if applied properly & for 4.99 they won't break the bank!
What are your thoughts on these?

Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers
WNW is pulling out all their special Tricks & Treats.... Every Halloween they Roll out cool new products to Bring out Your inner Vamp. They are limited edition, so if u seem, grab em!
I snapped up 2 of the lipsticks:
•Geisha's Kiss is a bright seductive cherry red with a light red shimmer, it's very creamy and opaque. It's applies smoothly and pulls a little fuchsia. This color is very pretty( dupe alert**down below)
•Black is a dark grayish black.. It's very smooth as well but not very opaque. I think this could be best used to darken any lip color. I've used it with geishas kiss & it turns a burgundy color. Very nice.
All in all for 1.99 I'd say go for it! Both are pretty good for the price & can be used year round & geishas kiss is a good **Dupe** for MAC's Port Red from the Naughty Nauticals collection. If you missed out, stock up!

Black is Back : Ravens Strength (Chanel Dupe)
Loreal has rolled out Their new limited edition Project Runway Colors Take Flight collection and I was lucky enough to find Ravens strength, the color is a smokey black charcoal with a pearl shimmer.. It's absolutely beautiful. It was the last one on the display & seems to be selling out fast. This is not an exact dupe but its very close if you've been lemming for Chanel pearl...Raven's Strength can fill the need @ a fraction of the cost.
My local CVS received the collection a little early, so be on the lookout! Officially drops the beginning of October everywhere Loreal Paris is sold
Do you own anything from the collection?

ExtraExtra: Beetlejuice collection!
Earlier Today Models Own released a photo their new Beetlejuice collection. Five beautiful oil slick colors:
•Golden Green(fresh energetic acid)
•Pinky Brown(warm rusty pink)
•Purple Blue( punch of fuchsia indigo)
•Aqua Violet(true sky shimmer)
•emerald Black(blackened midnite peacock)
Meh.. They could have been a bit more creative with the naming process, but whatever theses colors are Devine! Sort of reminds me of the Ozotics?
"Each bottle contains four pearlescent colours mixed into one gleaming shade, and the complex colour-shifting, with flashes of vivid tones & ethereal hues, gives a shimmering duo chrome finish."
Available in November & now shipping to the US :)) yay!!

Which ones will be living @ your house? I'm thinking I need the first four!

Dupe Alert! Revlon Vs. Lippmann
Calling all Lippmann addicts : Revlon has made a Fabulous dupe for Bad Romance & Dare I say.. It's even a tad Better (Gasp!) yes I said better ladies. It's called Facets of Fuchsia & it's Gawwjuss ;) Its apart of the Fall/Winter 2011 collection
Revlon has managed to pack tons of purpley-pink fuchsia hexagonal glitters into a black jelly base. Depth, sparkle, pretty, vampy, chic & budget friendly all @ the same time.
Perfect coverage with 3 coats, looks best with 2 coats over a black base & seche vite top coat.
Have fun removing this one..
Do You own Revlon or Lippmann? What dupes have You found?

Glow Baby Glow...
I was on a mission to find the best Glow-in-the Dark NP..I had My little old heart set on China Glaze Ghoulish Glow. I rushed out to My nearest Ulta hoping to snag a bottle. I was highly disappointed to find the display completely empty :(( really? Later that day I was surprised to find the "pair em, scare em" duo by OPI. A 2-pack that includes A glow polish named Zom-body to love & black shatter ( review coming soon ) I also came across Color zone Glow in the Dark.
Both NP's filled My need for Glowy Goodness. Both glow quite bright, after being charged by the sun or a bright light. The opi is a creamy green that is pretty opaque after 2 coats. I found it lit up a bit more if a white base coat was used. The Color Zone was lighter in color and had pastel rainbow glitters. Very nice for layering. Even though I love both of these.. I'm still lemming for China Glaze GG & hope to add it to My collection soon.
Do You Own any Glow polish?

SpoOkTacular find
So now that Fall is "Officially" here..we can expect to be flooded with holiday goodness from now until march. It all kicks off with good old Halloween :) much to my pleasure the local CVS is fully stocked.
I picked up 2 Colors from the Fright Night claw polish in VooDoo & Phantom. The bottles are kitschy & cute in the shape of coffins ( who would pass that up?!!lol) The colors are Beautiful and the formula is decent. VooDoo is a blood red jelly with tons of
Red glitter...this one really comes alive with a topcoat! Phantom is cool slate grey with blue, green & purple shimmers!! Definitely unique!
I'm so ready for all the limited edition holiday collections to hit the shelves! What are you most excited to see this year?

Kickin it Oldskool :) NOTD
Testing 1-2...1-2
So I figured We could start off with an Oldie but goodie. Sally Hansen's Magical nail makeup polishes. They came out in 2002 but are now discontinued.. Whyyy? But can be fairly easy to find on eBay or amazon.
I absolutely LOVE holographic polish & I am very happy to have this in my collection. The formula is quite thin and dries super quick.
I own this in Fairy Dust Pink. It's a light pink that pulls violet. Full opacity & even coverage with 2 coats. You can avoid streaks by shaking the bottle. I love that I dont need a base with this. It's a beautiful polish and SH if ur reading this : We want Awesome Holos!! Please release a new collection
Sincerely,
The POLiSHED*GENiUS
Do you own any holographics? Which ones do think are best?
