ARTSY WEDNESDAY Ombré

This week our them is ombré:

Ombre

n. A French term meaning "shaded." Usually a multicolored stripe, with colors graduating from light to dark.

I celebrated My 1st wedding anniversary this week so I chose to use shades of pink for My mani...pinks and reds always translate love for me :)

In the end I realized my mani really reminded me of Gwen stefani's gorgeous ombré wedding gown.

PURE ICE

I hardly ever go to Wally world so I never see PURE ICE polish in My neck of the woods. This week while hanging out with My Mom, We made a Trip out to Walmart & I Made a Bee line for the Cosmetic section.
I picked up 2 PURE ICE COLORS.
Both are beautiful sheer color shifters.

First up is "Oh Baby" a milky clear shimmer that sparkles blue,green & even purple. This would be perfect over an opaque light pink or white polish.

2nd we have "Rio" a bright pinky purple with a shimmer that flashes Ivey blue. This color would take many layers to achieve bottle color. Use a fuschia polish as a base color for a bolder turn out.

I'm pretty pleased with both colors. I like layering. Both are versatile & unique. I like colors with a little something special. They are pretty cheap at under 2.00

In Love with a sparkly TuTu

I was really feeling the L-O-V-E. my Hubz picked out some beautiful pale pink Tulips for me...so of course I was inspired.
The flowers reminded me of a color I'd been dying to swatch for you all. Nicole for OPI Kardashian Kollection "Kim-pletely in love" she is a delicate sheer pink with color shifting iridescence. Just gorgeous. Because she is so sheer. I used Sinful colors "TuTu" as a base color. TuTu is a pale pink as well, but she is a tad rosier than Kim and has a slight shimmer.
For My accent finger I brought out the bling to give this delicate Mani a little edge. "Spit Fire" is My first color from Pure Ice. Shout out to My Lil sis Sydney for pointing her out to me. We both agree Spit Fire is a Good Enough dupe for OPI's Teenage Dream.

I'm completely in love with this pink combo :)
